Safety Buzz Campus Wins Small Business of the Year at the Alberta Chambers of Commerce Business Awards of Distinction

Safety Buzz Campus, a leading provider of safety education and mentorship services in southern Alberta, is thrilled to announce its recent recognition as the Small Business of the Year at the prestigious Alberta Business Awards of Distinction (ABAD) gala held on June 15th. This highly regarded event, organized by the Alberta Chambers of Commerce (ACC), celebrates the exceptional accomplishments of organizations and entrepreneurs who have significantly contributed to Alberta's thriving business landscape.

The ABAD 2023 Gala brought together industry leaders, distinguished guests, and influential figures to honour the recipients in thirteen distinguished award categories. Among the most coveted awards presented that evening was Alberta's Small Business Award of Distinction, which was bestowed upon Safety Buzz Campus in recognition of its outstanding achievements and overall excellence in the Small Business category.

Amy Zuk-Olsen and Sheldon Olsen, the visionary owners of Safety Buzz Campus, have worked tirelessly to establish a vibrant and engaging environment for learning about safety. Their mission has always been to serve the corporate sector and non-profit organizations and promote home safety for youth and individuals. Over 20 years, Safety Buzz Campus has cultivated a strong reputation as a trusted safety influencer within the community and beyond in southern Alberta and southwest Saskatchewan.

Their comprehensive services have touched the lives of numerous organizations and individuals, including partnerships with 4H, Root Cellar (Food Bank), Women's Shelter, Coulee Collegiate, and many schools for babysitter training. They have also collaborated with Medicine Hat College for an Intro to Trades program, further exemplifying their dedication to community outreach and youth development.
